We had a free coupon here because the hotel itself had messed up several things and tried to kill me on some of their broken pool tiles LOL. That said the breakfast was basic and I have had better breakfasts at the La Quinta. If it's free go grab some grub! If you have to pay walk down the street to starbucks and buy a muffin- it will taste much better.

I visited Vue on the Water during work travel in FTL. Here's what I found... Food: Great! I ordered a shrimp cocktail which was beautifully served in a canning jar with lots of great tasting cocktail sauce as well as cucumbers. YUM! For dinner I ordered the grilled chicken & couscous dish which had a curry flavor. Mixed into the couscous were almonds, tomatoes, carrots, and asparagus, all chopped up. The flavor was fantastic - just enough curry to keep you guessing but nothing overwhelming. I really like it all. Service: Questionable. The restaurant was slow which, to me, is always a chance to shine in service. Unfortunately the workers here fell victim to a lack of focus since I was the only diner at that time. I actually didn't even know where to go to eat because the hostess was missing. I finally was given a table and the server was friendly enough however once I received my food I didn't see her anymore. I sat for a few minutes when I was done and she finally came to remove the plate. She attempted to talk me out of dessert which I found amusing - I mean, who wants more sales? As I was leaving I saw four restaurant employees and the manager all chilling and talking around the coffee bar. That was sad to me, really, because I don't require a lot of attention but they really could have gone out of there way to show how wonderful they are. If you are staying at the GalleryOne Double Tree in Fort Lauderdale, give Vue on the Water a try. (PS - you can eat inside or outside)

I visited once for dinner and twice for breakfast. At dinner I had their Pub burger - blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes, perfectly cooked beef. It didn't have as much blue cheese as I preferred and I found the burger to be bland. The lighting was super dim and there were only a few people here so noise levels weren't bad. I found the price to be on par with most restaurants that serve burgers, but a bit expensive for what you get. At breakfast I tried the buffet. It was a small buffet - scrambled eggs, potatoes, pancakes, croissants, cheese turnovers, muffins, and cereal. That was the entire buffet. My head spun when I saw how much they charged for their meager buffet with it's pretty underwhelming selection. If they charged half then it would be more reasonable. The second breakfast I went back out of convenience. I thought I'd get cereal and that was it. My family decided on the buffet again and they were able to eat two plates worth of food each and get a final cup of coffee before the waiter served my dry cereal with a cup of milk on the side. While the wait staff the first two visits were a joy, this waiter was snarky and disgruntled. I wouldn't recommend it.

Overall good experience. I'm giving it 3 stars due to only experiencing Mother's Day Brunch here. I paid 36.00 pp for brunch which included unlimited mimosas. From start to finish, service was great! I do think that more buffet choices should be available. I got a little bored with what was offered: pasta, omelets, chicken marsala, fruits and dessert. Can't complain about coffee *Starbucks* :) Live music was a nice touch. Taylor Swift look-a-like's tunes were on point, made the experience a whole lot better! Walking outside was nice... Intercoastal views are never depreciated ;)

I stay at the Gallery One Doubletree a lot. Like, at least once a month for the past 2 years for 3-4 days at a time. I am being painfully honest when I say I have never had a good meal (besides breakfast). Their breakfast buffet is pretty decent, they also offer a breakfast menu aside from the buffet options which is not bad. The benedict is okay, the fritatta is actually pretty good. Somehow after 11am things just go downhill. I have seen their room service menu change items from time to time, but this should really be a last option if you are starving and can't walk to any of the decent restaurants less than a mile away in either direction away from the hotel.
